Zagreb – Boban

Some of you may familiar to “Boban”. The restaurant is owned by Croation footballer, Zvonimir Boban. Probably, football lovers will know him.

Boban restaurant is close to Nicole Tesle street. It is on Michelin Guide 2018. That’s how we discovered this restaurant.

There are both indoor and outdoor area. You need to make reservation for outdoor.

We had one “Bruschetta”, “Rustica”, “Tagliatelle con vitello” and wine. Bruschetta has one piece of bread but it is quite big. If you are two people, one portion will be enough as a starter.

Tagliatelle con vitello was amazing. It includes veal, sage and Grana Padano (Italian cheese). It is a hand-made pasta. Pasta is super thin and melting in your mouth. I am not a fan of pasta but I can be fan of this pasta.

Rustica includes beefsteak with roasted patato, rockets, red radicio and tomatoes. It is a huge portion. Beef was perfectly soft.

We have paid 287 kuna – approximately 40 euro. I highly recommend you to have dinner at Boban. Prices are affordable. It is one of the candidates in 2018 to get a Michelin Star. They deserve it. Try to go to Boban before they get the star. Prices may increase after they get the star. ☺️

Zagreb – Choco Cafe

Choco café is located at Nicole Tesle street. There are so many restaurant and cafes on this street. If our accommodation wasn’t close to Nicole Tesle, probably I wouldn’t know this place. It is quite close to Jelacic Square.

Choco café’s energy is so high may be because of the decoration and colors. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas. The weather was nice so we enjoyed at outdoor.

We had tomato and cheese omlette, cheese pancake, lemonade and latte. I liked the cheese pancake. It reminds you schnitzel. It was so delicious with melted cheese. Omlette was also so yummy .

Actually, this place is famous for with its pancakes. But I don’t prefer eating pancake as a breakfast. If you try it, let me know. I want to hear your feedbacks.

Zagreb – Zagreb

I know the header looks funny but it is true the cafe name is Zagreb. I didn’t write worng 🙂

Our accommodation was so close to Zagreb café and we passed by several times. It was crowded all the time. And finally, we decided to try their ice cream. It was super delicious. You feel like, you are eating the real fruit. And then we became addicted and stopped by here every day. One scoop was 9 kuna which is approximately, 1.2 euro.

There is outdoor seating area. You will see the crowd anytime during the day. I haven’t tried their desserts but they were also looking so yummy.

It is close to old town. You just need to walk a bit from Jelacic Square. If you try desserts, let me know. I am wondering your feedbacks.

Zagreb – Eggspress

Egg is must-have food in a breakfast for me. If you are one of those, “Eggpress” is the correct place for you.

Eggspress is just a few steps below the pavement with indoor area. They have funny anecdots on the wall. Unfortunately, there is no AC. If you go there in summer, it can be tough.

We ordered “shakshuka” and “omelette with cheese”. They also brought bread basket as a complimentary shakshuka. Omelette portion was huge. It is made by 4 eggs. If you are not that hungry, consider the size of the portion. We also had coffee. All the food were tasty and more than enough to make us full.
